Man dies in crash

EDGEMONT - A 25-year-old Middletown man was killed early this morning when he lost control of his car on a curve on Route 352 four-tenths of a mile north of Forge Road, state police said.

He was identified as James Coulter Jr., of 16 W. Glen Circle, Middletown.

He was taken by Lima fire company ambulance to Riddle Memorial where he was pronounced dead.

State police said Coulter was alone in his car about 3:14 a.m. heading south on Route 352 when he failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the northbound lane and struck a utility pole and tree.

I remember Jim as a sweet guy with a beautiful smile. I had seen him listed as deceased for some time in the alumni directory and always wondered what happened. Life is too short.
