Comments:    I attended Earlham College in Richmond, IN (along with Louis Bucklin, Jennifer Hunt, Dianne Passmore, Robin Phillips, and Hugh Reichardt). I graduated with a double major in Biology and Chemistry.

I then attended University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and graduated with a Ph.D. in Cell Biology. My research area was molecular aspects of photosynthesis. I did a post-doc at the University of Kentucky in Lexington.

Then I joined the faculty at Utah State University in Logan, Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.

In the early 90s I left academia to found and run an internet service provider. I did that for 11 years, then sold it. Today I edit scientific manuscripts for scientists whose native language is not English but who must publish in English.

Along the way, I was married for 23 years (now divorced) and raised two daughters.
