Phoebe Ann Whitsett

Phoebe Ann Whitsett, 55 Of Media, PA Phoebe Ann Whitsett, 55, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2011. Born in Chester, she was the 5th child of Thelma Thompson Whitsett of Media and the late Randall Robert Monroe Whitsett. Ms. Whitsett was a 1973 graduate of Penncrest High School. She retired with 20 years of service as a Psychiatric Aide at Norristown Hospital in 2006. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church of Media. Survivors: Beloved mother Thelma Thompson Whitsett; sons Dennis Arlington Whitsett (Jo'ele) of Media, Jermaine Alexander Whitsett (MaryAnn) of Lancaster and Christopher Lee Whitsett of Jacksonville, FL; sisters, Vicki Whitsett Jackson (Eric) of Clinton Twp., MI, Deborah Whitsett of Media, Nanette (Sidney) of Media and Jo-Hannah of Media; brothers Mark Whitsett (Karen) of Newark, DE, Giles Whitsett (Linda) of San Antonio, TX, Virgil Whitsett (Mai) of Swarthmore, and Robert Madison (Sonja) of Middletown, DE; 12 grandchildren. Pre-deceased by her son Virgil (aka Abdul Raheem) and special friend, George Proctor. Service: Thursday, July 7th at 11 AM at Second Baptist Church, State St. & Manchester Ave., Media, PA.
