In Memory

Douglas Schenkel

Douglas Schenkel

1953-2015 Douglas J. Schenkel, age 61, of Aston, PA and formerly of Media, PA, passed away suddenly on March 17, 2015. He was a devoted husband, proud father and loving brother. A Media man, Doug made many friends through his years at Penncrest High School and his time at Delcora. His family will desperately miss his unwavering support, loving nagging, and big personality. Over the years Doug enjoyed fishing and crabbing with his family and hunting with his mountain crew. But above all, he looked most forward to spending time with his family. Family would like to thank the doctors and staff at University of Pennsylvania hospital for the “bonus years”. Doug is survived by “his girls” - wife, Donna, and daughters, Lauren and Caitlyn. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and loving in-laws. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gift of Life, 401 N. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. Calling: Friday evening from 6-8 pm and Saturday 9:30 - 10:30 am at the Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home. 15 E. 4th St., Media, PA 19063. Service: Saturday, March 21st, 10:30 am at the funeral home. www.haganfuneralhome.com
