Michael E Roberts, 38, of Media, died Oct. 4, 1992.
Born in Nova Scotia, Canada, Mr. Roberts moved to Media with his family when he was seven. He attended Media School and graduated from Penncrest High School in 1973. He was a laborer on various construction jobs and a former Glen Mills School groundskeeper. He was active in Media and Wallingford Softball Leagues.
Mr. Roberts is survived by his parents, Eric W. and Ellen Ervin Roberts of Delaware, formerly of Media; three brothers, Keith W. Roberts of Summerville, SC, Ralph W. Roberts of Media, and Kevin A. Roberts of Wallingford; a sister, Laura D. Netwall of Media; nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be a 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Rigby, Harting & Hagan Funeral Home, 15 E. 4th St., Media, where there will be a calling hour from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be private.

I remember Michael well. He use to date my neighbor ( now Step sister Jeannie Purvis. He use to toss pebbles at her window to try and wake her up:) Such a handsome guy.Patrick Hoopes
Michael & I were very close in and around '68 69 at Brommalls Swim club & stayed close over the years.He came from a very nice family which i spent time with in there home near Glen Providence Park Media

Michael and I were really good friends growing up, and he was a great soccer player. We went separate ways later in high school, but always remained friends. I'm still very close friends with his sister and her husband, and the rest of the family. Mike is always a topic of discussion at BBQ's, cause he was always getting into trouble.
