James A. Carney III 3rd generation owner of John's Grille James A. Carney III age 60, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on March 12, 2014. Survivors: Beloved husband of Sandra L. (nee Hickman). Devoted father of James A. Carney IV, Justin W. Carney, Kelly A. Larson (David) and Christine L. San Felice. Dear son of James A. Jr. and Mildred M. Carney. Brother of John Carney, Nadine Keller, David Carney and Robert Carney. Also survived by his grandson Scott A. Balducci and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Jim was the 3rd generation owner of John's Grille in Media which his grandfather started in 1935. An avid fisherman Jim enjoyed trips to "the canyons" with his family and friends. Service: Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Monday from 9:00 a.m. till 9:45 a.m. at Nativity B.V.M. Church Franklin and Monroe Sts. Media followed by his funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon. Jimmy was a great guy .Really nice person. grew up with him in Riddlewood. We has some really great parties together. He will be surely missed. A toast to you in heaven. Billy Nelms

I remember John as a kind man . Yes we did party . I remember his kind greeding when I went to his bar . The steaks sandwich were the best . May John rest in peace .
